Evolution
Running is Ken’s new running style. Coincidentally, two other barefoot-style
running methods were popping up around the same time. “Chi Running,” based on
the balance and minimalism of tai chi, began taking off in San Francisco, while
Dr. Nicholas Romanov, a Russian exercise physiologist based in Florida, was
teaching his POSE Method. But a simple system isn’t necessarily simple to
learn, as I found out when Ken Mierke filmed me in action. My mind was
registering easy, light, and smooth, but the video showed that author was still
bobbing up and down while bending forward like he was leaning into a hurricane.
The basic
concept of running is easy to learn. However, runners have been developed their
style of running to be faster without using much energy.
My style of
running is also have been developed and still developing. I believe the style
of running actually affects huge part of running and it can make slow people a
lot faster.
