The author has been look for doctors to find out the reason of the pain he had while the running. He has visited Dr. Joe who is known as the godfather of the sports orthopedic. Dr. Joe told that running is not a type of sport that the author supposes to do. He also said that as much as he runs, his leg will heart. However, his passion in running did not disappear.

During his trip to find Tarahumara, when the author arrived to Leaville, they realized that it is one of the wilderness place they have ever been. Rick Fisher said Leadville was exactly the kind of wild that he was looking for. Therefore, he also told the story about a girl who beat Trahumara racer. A girl name is called Ann Trason. She is such a bigh threat to the Tarahumara in the race. She is thirty-three-year-old community-college science teacher from California. Ann was sort of short, sort of slender, sort of schlumpy, sort of invisible behind her mousy-brown bangs. She had run track in high school, but got sick to death of "ham-stering". However, she has a record to win the race against Tarahumara and she ran Fifty-five miles in one day.
